Hateco focuses on key activities to achieve achievements to celebrate its 20th anniversary

At the 6-month review conference of 2024, Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Van Ky emphasized: "The 20-year milestone of Hateco is an important time for all employees to self-reflect and self-improve to work with colleagues and the Board of Directors to strive to bring the Group to a higher and more stable stature".

On July 13, 2024, at the Hateco Group Office, a solemn conference was held to review the first 6 months of 2024 of the Group and its member units. The conference listened to the report on the performance results, measures to overcome shortcomings in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks and directions for the last 6 months of the year of the Group; Report on the performance results in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks and directions for the last 6 months of the year of Hateco Logistics and Hateco HIT; Report on the assessment of performance results and existing limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome by the Internal Audit Board. 

After listening to the report, Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Van Ky gave a speech assigning key tasks and plans of the Group and its member units in the last 6 months of 2024.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the unfavorable macroeconomic situation has put the Group in front of many difficulties and major challenges in implementing construction investment, completing legal procedures as well as ensuring capital for strategic tasks. However, with the solidarity and persistent efforts of the Group's Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of member units and all employees, Hateco has overcome a number of difficulties and challenges and achieved some encouraging achievements. 

On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group acknowledged and commended the achievements of the collectives and leaders of the units with good work results such as: Project Management Board of Wharf 5+6, General Director of Hateco HIT; Price & Cost Management Department of the Group, Business Department - Group; Operation and Exploitation Department - Hateco Logistics. 

In his speech summarizing the activities, Group CEO Hoang Dinh Tuan analyzed the factors affecting the Group's production and business targets, in which the Group CEO also emphasized that the human factor is an important prerequisite for Hateco to complete its tasks. However, currently, the Group's human resources have not met the development requirements. Therefore, in the period of 2024-2024, the Group will focus on attracting high-quality personnel to meet the tasks in the new situation. 

This is also an important task in the 5 key tasks that Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Van Ky directed the Conference. 

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Board of Directors assigned the Group's Board of Directors and the Board of Directors of member companies to coordinate in developing specific programs and actions to organize the 20th anniversary of the Group's founding (November 4, 2004 - November 4, 2024) solemnly, practically, effectively, in accordance with the scale, true to the historical significance of the Group's formation and development. 

Regarding planning, developing plans that are appropriate to the actual situation and the key objectives assigned by the Board of Directors, the entire Group needs to regularly and continuously check, provide a mechanism to monitor/evaluate the implementation of the plan, and make timely and flexible adjustments when the plan is no longer appropriate.

The Group needs to focus on building, perfecting, updating and adjusting the organizational model, business processes, financial regulations, coordination regulations between Departments/Offices... to create a legal framework for the entire Group.  

Regarding Human Resources, regularly improve the staff, especially the key staff with good capacity, qualifications, and working style; ensure good material and spiritual life for all employees both regularly and unexpectedly, have a reward and disciplinary system that is accurate and timely.

Continue to promote positive aspects, overcome shortcomings and limitations pointed out by the Board of Directors of relevant units and departments; Perfect the centralized and comprehensive financial system in the entire Group.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors also assigned specific tasks to the Group's Board of Directors and member companies to actively implement achievements to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Group's establishment. 

For the Group's key projects such as the construction project of Wharf No. 05 and 06 of Lach Huyen Port, projects in the field of logistics real estate also need to be urgently completed ahead of schedule. 

Hateco HIT needs to coordinate well with government agencies to implement procedures related to opening the Port, putting the Port into operation and welcoming the first commercial ship to Lach Huyen Port in February 2025.

Speaking at the Conference, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group shared that the Board of Directors always determines the motto: "Sustainable development - Taking people as the center". In 2024, the Group has been issuing flexible and appropriate policies to promptly motivate creative and successful employees who effectively contribute to the Group's operations. 

The message that the Chairman of the Board of Directors wishes to emphasize to all Hateco employees is: “Our common home Hateco will grow and develop further if each employee is always self-aware, dedicated, responsible for work, dynamic, creative, united, constantly training and learning. Let us always uphold the spirit: UNITY - DEDICATION - RESPONSIBILITY - EFFICIENCY!”.
