Project Overview
On March 4, 2021, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung signed Decision No. 299/QD-TTg approving the investment policy of the Investment Project to build Wharf No. 5 and No. 6 of Lach Huyen Port Area, Hai Phong Seaport, with Hateco Group Joint Stock Company as the Investor.
The objective of the Project is to invest in the construction of 2 container berths No. 5 and No. 6 that can receive 18,000 TEU container ships at Lach Huyen Port Area, Hai Phong City, in order to gradually build a modern container port area according to the approved planning; meet the import and export needs of goods from the Northern region directly to the European and American markets; maximize the advantages of natural conditions and geographical location to develop Dinh Vu - Cat Hai special Economic Zone (seaport system, logistics and post-port industrial park) to promote the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city in particular and the Northern region in general.
