HATECO HOLDS MID-YEAR CONFERENCE TO REVIEW H1 2025 PERFORMANCE AND DETERMINE STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS AND PRIORITIES FOR YEAR-END

On the morning of July 12, 2025, Hateco Group held its Mid-Year Conference to review business performance in the first half of the year and determine strategic directions and priorities for the remaining six months.

The event was attended by Mr. Tran Van Ky – Chairman of Hateco Group, the Executive Board, leaders of member companies, and representatives from departments across the Group.

Sustaining Growth Amid Economic Challenges
In the context of a challenging global economic environment—marked by slower growth, inflationary pressures, and a still-recovering real estate market—Hateco Group  has maintained a stable growth trajectory. This achievement stems from decisive leadership, flexible strategy execution, and strong internal unity, resulting in multiple positive outcomes in the first half of 2025.

At the conference, Mr. Hoang Dinh Tuan, CEO of Hateco Group, delivered the Group’s performance report for the first half of 2025. He noted: “With the collective efforts and unity of both the leadership and workforce, Hateco has proactively overcome challenges, achieving and surpassing key business targets. Hateco Logistics exceeded 86% of its target, while Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal outperformed by 25%. Strategic investment projects were implemented decisively and in a timely manner, in alignment with the transition to a two-tier governance model.

Following the Group-level report, member company reports were presented by Hateco Logistics, Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HHIT), and the Group’s Internal Audit Division.

Logistics: Transformation and Progress

In the first half of 2025, Hateco Logistics focused on innovating its business planning methods, applying flexible policies, accelerating digital transformation, and expanding strategic partnerships. As a result, the company surpassed both revenue and profit targets. Business activities in trade, import-export, and transportation showed consistent growth aligned with market trends and the company’s current capacity.

HHIT Operations: Marking a Breakthrough

A standout achievement came from Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal. Within five months of operations since February 2025, the terminal reached a crane productivity rate of 42 moves/hour during the handling of the Maersk vessel “GSL Alexandra,” with a total throughput of 1,928 containers. The average CMPH (container moves per hour) rose to 29, representing a 56% increase compared to the initial phase. Truck turnaround time was reduced by 55%.

The terminal’s Automated Gate System and TAS application operated efficiently: 100% of container trucks conducted electronic transactions and scheduled in advance. The OCR gate functioned seamlessly without stopping, and self-service kiosks reduced gate crossing time to under 30 seconds. Paper orders were fully eliminated, ensuring transparent and intelligent control processes.

Capitalizing on this momentum, the company’s General Director announced an upward adjustment to the business plan for the second half of the year—raising the revenue target by 15% compared to the original plan—demonstrating a firm commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and service quality at Hateco Port.

Following the previous sessions, the Internal Audit Division presented a comprehensive evaluation, focusing on identifying existing issues and operational risks. The report also acknowledged meaningful improvements in control systems across member units, contributing to better governance and management transparency.
