As one of Hanoi’s key logistics infrastructure projects, Giang Bien Inland Port reflects our long-term investment strategy in modern transport and logistics infrastructure.

Approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee under Decision No. 416/QD-UBND, the project covers a total area of approximately 238,727 square metres, including around 112,310 square metres of water surface designated for vessel berthing, turning and access to the navigation channel.

The port will feature a 600-metre berth capable of accommodating vessels of up to 3,000 tonnes. Under the development plan through 2030, the port is expected to achieve an annual cargo-handling capacity of one million tonnes.

With a total investment exceeding VND 2.5 trillion, the project will be developed in two phases. Phase 1 will cover approximately 12.3 hectares and is scheduled for completion and operation in the fourth quarter of 2027. Phase 2, covering approximately 11.6 hectares, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2029.

Once operational, Giang Bien Inland Port will serve as a major cargo transshipment hub, supporting the transport needs of industrial parks, industrial clusters and manufacturing enterprises across Hanoi and neighbouring provinces.

Direct connectivity with Lach Huyen International Gateway Port in Hai Phong will help optimise logistics costs, shorten transit times, strengthen business competitiveness and ease pressure on the road transport network.

The project is also planned as an integrated transport hub connecting inland waterways, road networks and the seaport system. This multimodal connectivity will contribute to enhancing logistics capacity across northern Vietnam, strengthening supply chain links and creating additional employment opportunities.

The project is expected to support the development of industry, trade and services, promote the effective use of land outside the river dykes and contribute positively to Hanoi’s socioeconomic development.
