By September 2024, Hateco will complete 78% of the construction of Lach Huyen Port Terminal 5 and 6 Project.
After nearly two years of construction, the investment project to build berths 5 and 6 of Lach Huyen Port, invested by Hateco Group, is closely following the schedule, urgently completing the bidding packages, striving to reach the finish line ahead of schedule.
At the main wharf construction area of the PK4 package of Hateco Group, the 300m long segment 1, workers are urgently taking advantage of favorable conditions to install and construct important items. Meanwhile, other packages such as the executive office area, container yard road, and fire prevention and fighting are also being actively deployed.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, General Director of Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port Company, a member unit of Hateco Group, the overall construction progress has reached 78%. The project's office area is expected to be completed in September and put into operation from October 2024. In September, Hateco will install the first automatic gate system in Vietnam.

Regarding the wharf system, in October, the project's target is to complete 450m. At the end of October, Hateco will also bring the first batch of equipment to ensure the reception of the largest ships in the world to Vietnam.
In December, Terminals 5 and 6 can test the entire route in phase 1 to strive to put it into operation by February 2025. At the same time, Hateco will also integrate and test the information technology system to ensure operation with the most modern semi-automatic technology.

At the construction site, hundreds of officers, workers, and laborers of contractors are still busy working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts during the September 2nd holiday.

The investment project to build two container terminals No. 5 and No. 6 at Lach Huyen Port Area, Hai Phong City is invested by Hateco Group. When completed, the project will gradually build a modern container terminal area according to the approved planning; meet the needs of exporting and importing goods from the Northern region directly to the European and American markets; exploit the maximum advantages of natural conditions and geographical location to develop Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone (seaport system, logistics and industrial park after the port) to promote the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city in particular and the Northern region in general.
