Hateco Group works with a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Belgium to discuss strategic cooperation issues.

On April 11, 2019, Hateco Group had a working session with Ackermans & Van Haaren Group (Kingdom of Belgium) and Rent A Port Company (specializing in Port Investment and Management) to discuss strategic cooperation issues and investment promotion between the Groups in the coming time.

Attending the meeting were: Mr. Koen Janssen - member of the Board of Directors of Ackermans & van Haaren Group, member of the Board of Directors of IAI; Mr. Renaud Bentegeat - CEO of CFE Company, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IAI; Mr. Fabien Dejonghe - CFE Financial Director; Mr. Steve Theunissen, CEO of Rent A Port Company; Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, General Director of Dinh Vu Industrial Park, member of the Board of Directors of IAI.

At the meeting, the Board of Directors of Hateco Group solemnly welcomed the senior leaders of the delegation. At the same time, the parties spent a lot of time exchanging and discussing the direction of strategic cooperation as well as the contents related to key projects that will cooperate in the coming time. 

 Ackermans & van Haaren (Kingdom of Belgium) is a multi-industry corporation founded in 1885 with fields of operation such as: Maritime, Banking, Real Estate, Energy - Resources. Currently, the Corporation has a staff of up to 22 thousand people... Total market capitalization reaches 4,120 million Euro/year, annual revenue reaches about 5 billion Euro. Currently, it is one of the corporations with large investment with assets estimated at over 2.7 billion Euro.

Rent A Port Company, a member of the Ackermans & van Haaren Group, is a leading company in the field of Marine Investment and Engineering headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, specializing in the analysis, design, construction, development and management of port infrastructure, logistics and port-related industrial zones globally. Rent A Port's estimated annual revenue is approximately 73 million Euros. In Vietnam, Rent A Port has invested more than 200 million USD and it is expected that in the period (2019 - 2029) the company will invest an additional 250 million USD in port and industrial park projects in Hai Phong City and Quang Ninh Province.

At the meeting, representatives of Ackermans & van Haaren Group and Rent A Port Company both expressed their desire to soon cooperate with Hateco Group in the near future because from the perspective of experienced units, Hateco has all the factors such as strong financial potential, rich project funds, innovative thinking, flexibility of the Board of Directors... to become a pioneer in Vietnam in particular and Asia in general in developing the seaport sector as well as large-scale industrial parks in Vietnam.

Recognizing and appreciating the experience and capacity of Ackermans & van Haaren Group in general and Rent A Port Company in particular, Mr. Tran Van Ky - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hateco Group said that the Group is always open and ready to create all conditions for foreign partners to cooperate for the goal of long-term development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on a strategic cooperation program in the field of Investment and Development of Industrial Parks. In the immediate future, they will jointly research and cooperate in investing in the Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park project in Quang Ninh province./.
