Representatives of the Da Nang People's Committee and the Hateco Group – APM Terminals Consortium perform the signing ceremony of the Lien Chieu Container Terminal Project Contract.

The ceremony was attended by leaders of Da Nang City, Hateco Group, APM Terminals, along with representatives of relevant agencies and units. At the event, the parties proceeded to sign the project contract, affirming their commitment to cooperation in implementing one of the key seaport infrastructure projects in the Central region.

The signing not only completes the necessary procedures but also demonstrates the determination to realize the vision of developing Lien Chieu Port into an international gateway and a regional transshipment hub. The project covers approximately 172.6 hectares with a total investment of nearly 2 billion USD and a design capacity of about 5.7 million TEUs/year. It is expected to significantly enhance logistics infrastructure capacity and promote the socio-economic development of Da Nang City and the Central region.

The participation of APM Terminals – a world-leading port operator – together with the implementation capabilities and logistics ecosystem of Hateco Group, is expected to establish a modern port model operating according to international standards. The project is oriented towards the GREEN PORT – SMART PORT model, integrating advanced technologies to optimize operational efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

The signing ceremony took place just before the project enters the construction phase, marking the transition from preparation to execution. This is not only a significant milestone for the project but also reflects Da Nang's determination to develop modern seaport infrastructure, gradually affirming its role as a logistics hub for the Central region.

Upon completion, Lien Chieu Port will serve as an international trade gateway, directly connecting with global shipping routes, while forming a large-scale logistics center, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam's supply chain.
