Deputy Prime Minister Visits Hateco Group to Bolster Private Sector Development
On March 26, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister, along with leaders of the Ministry of Finance, visited and inspected projects of Hateco Group in the fields of infrastructure and logistics development to serve the Government's Private Sector Development Project.
Deputy Prime Minister visited Hateco's Headquarters and ICD Long Bien
At Hateco's headquarters and ICD Long Bien, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the private sector's critical role in the economy, noting policy gaps hindering its full potential. Hateco's diverse logistics development provided key insights for the upcoming plan.The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed :"The private sector is currently the largest contributor to the economy, accounting for approximately 50% of GDP and over 56% of total social investment. However, the current mechanisms and policies for the private sector are not yet accurate or effective, failing to create a strong impetus for the private sector to develop in line with its potential and strengths." Therefore, the visit and working session with Hateco Group, a private enterprise that is rapidly developing logistics infrastructure from inland ports and ecological urban areas to seaports, will provide the Government with an overall perspective and insights into the difficulties and obstacles faced by businesses. This will significantly contribute to the development of a private sector development project to be submitted to the Politburo.

Leaders of Quang Ninh Province and Hateco Group Report on Project Implementation
Following the working session, the Deputy Prime Minister visited Hateco Group's projects in Quang Ninh and Hai Phong.The Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park project, a collaboration between Hateco Group and DEEP C Investor from Belgium, is being deployed in Quang Yen, Quang Ninh, covering an area of over 1,200 hectares, with plans for further expansion. This is a key project in Hateco's industrial real estate sector, contributing to local employment, socio-economic development, and attracting FDI to the province.
After listening to the reports from leaders of Quang Ninh Province and Hateco Group, the Deputy Prime Minister applauded the dedication of Quang Ninh Province and the investor in their efforts to implement the Bac Tien Phong and Nam Tien Phong industrial park projects. The Deputy Prime Minister urged Quang Ninh to continue coordinating and supporting businesses, removing obstacles, and cultivating an advantageous environment for private sector development. He also demanded Hateco to continue building high-quality infrastructure in line with the ecological industrial park model, promoting investment attraction, and prioritizing businesses that develop according to ecological models, apply high technology, and protect the environment.
During the working session with Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port Company, a member of Hateco Group implementing berths 5 and 6 at Lach Huyen Port in Hai Phong, the Deputy Prime Minister was received an update on the project's progress, scale, and the application of high-performance equipment and technology in tactical enhancements to strengthen competitive positioning against regional seaports and advance Vietnam's global trade competitiveness.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised Hateco's efforts, determination, and firm programs in building a modern, integrated logistics ecosystem, connecting industrial park ecological belts, logistics, and seaports. The Deputy Prime Minister envisioned Hateco as a catalyst, guiding and motivating the business sector, while strengthening Vietnam's global competitive edge.
The visit and working session by the Deputy Prime Minister validated Hateco's contributions to the private sector, and enabled ministries and agencies to gather practical knowledge and correctly evaluate private sector growth in infrastructure and logistics, for the government's development project.
